Pipe and Slippers - Altostratus DK

The colour story:

Start with an old, well used woody dark brown (pipe) and add some very extra purple velvet slippers and you have the foundation of Pipe and Slippers. Dusty, faded bark and faded lilac appear as mellowing tones in small areas. No tobacco is required to appreciate the cozy warmth of this colourway. 

As with all hand-made things, there is always some variation between skeins even within dyelots. If you plan to make a larger project, blend your skeins through transition rows.

The yarn story:

The super versatile yarn for all your medium weight needs. Made from 100% superwash merino wool, it has a nice amount of twist and pleasant bounce. This a lovely, versatile yarn that provides great stitch definition and reasonable wear so it's perfect for larger projects like sweaters and shawls - especially if there is a bit of lace involved.
