Old Bruise - Pyrostratus DK

The colour story:

A former dyer friend had a colourway called Old Bruise that I loved. She stopped dyeing years ago. I haven’t stopped loving those colours though of golden ochres, bluish greens and fading plums just go together like a bruise that is moving towards healing. This is the less painful way to enjoy these colours!

As with all hand-made things, there is always some variation between skeins even within dyelots. If you plan to make a larger project, blend your skeins through transition rows.

The yarn story:

The super versatile yarn for all your medium weight needs. Made from 75% extra fine superwash merino wool, 20% nylon, 5% silver stellina it has a nice amount of twist and pleasant bounce. This a lovely, versatile yarn that provides great stitch definition and reasonable wear so it's perfect for larger projects like sweaters and shawls - especially if are looking for a little sparkle.
