A coulee is a deep ravine carved into the landscape, often by water. Growing up on a glacial plain, this sort of formation is fairly common here. Also common in this part of the world is a hardy plum tree called a Pembina plum that has pinkish red skin with a blue-purple bloom. It should be no surprise that there is a town named Plum Coulee and yes, there are plums and yes it really is a coulee. The vibrant magenta and purples in this fibre are truly reminiscent of a delightful sweet and special plum.
OOAK means ‘one of a kind’ and as such is a rare gem, not to be seen in this exact composition again.
