Ken - Volutus Silk Lace

The colour story:

Ken is that guy. You know, the guy that sometimes shows up near or with Barbie? This yarn was inspired by the Aqua song 'Barbie Girl' and named for her opposite number because what else do you call a fun, subtly variegated aqua colour with subversive flashes of pink? Tussah silk is naturally a soft beige colour and provides a muted undertone to all colourways on this yarn.

As with all hand-made things, there is always some variation between skeins even within dyelots. If you plan to make a larger project, blend your skeins through transition rows.

Volutus Lace is a gorgeous, fine and luxurious 100% tussah silk yarn. This yarn will bring sheen and soft drape to your lace projects or can be held double with other fine yarns for a luxurious finished object. Please note that silk does not have any stitch memory and once blocked will not spring back so please block judiciously and handle gently while wet.
